HTC was once one of the most succesful mobile phone companies that people had never heard of. They were the underdogs whose name was barely recognizable to costumers but still managed to bring in a reported 2.3 billion dollars of revenue in 2005.
That was once before. Nowadays HTC, short for High Tech Computer, is considered one of the top cellphone companies, just like Samsung, Motorola and the once monstrous Nokia, who are fighting for a top stop on the marketplace.
One of HTC's new contenders for the spot, the Rezound, is bound to appear on stores worldwide anytime soon, and it will be one of the most powerful htc mobile phones to date. It packs a boasting 720p HD display that promises to deliver a top-notch image quality for a wonderful video experience, coupled with a monster of a processor, a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm that will handle everything that user swings at it with relative ease.
If that wasn't enough, the HTC Rezound is brimming with features. A Adreno 220 GPU, an 8 Megapixel rear camera with 1080p video capture, 16 GB of internal storage and even comes with a 16 GB microSD card included on the box.
To top it all off, HTC was kind enough to include on the box a pair of iBeats which normally run for $100 dollars on stores, and reports coming in from users all over the world are claiming that these are the best headphones ever to be included pre-package with any cellphone to date. No small feat.
HTC is here to make a stand. Rumours are starting to appear that suggest that a new HTC device, codenamed Zeta, will be featuring a 2.5 GHz processor along with 1 GB of RAM.
Just two years ago we were lucky if we got a cellphone with 1GHz of processing power and we are now starting go get powerhouses with 2.5 GHz processors, 1080p video cameras and 32GB of internal storage space. The new smartphone revolution seems to be brewing a fierce competition that has revolutionized cellphones as we see them today, and HTC seems to be one of the companies on the forefront of it all.
